Does this feel familiar?

Full mouth rehabilitation is usually considered when dental issues are no longer isolated to a single tooth. It’s often the result of years of previous treatment, wear, or structural changes that now need to be addressed together.

Your teeth feel less stable than they

used to

Eating certain foods feels uncomfortable. You avoid biting directly. You feel unsure how long things will hold.

Repairs feel temporary

Appointments become more frequent. Small fixes don’t seem to last. You’re told the bone support has reduced.

The

conversation turns

to dentures

You’re advised extractions may be needed. Dentures are presented as the next step.

You’ve been told there isn’t enough

bone for implants

It can feel like the decision has already been made for you.

This is often the stage where patients feel they are running out of options.

But this is also the point where structured implant planning can change the direction of the conversation.

Why gum disease can lead to tooth loss

Gum disease affects the bone that supports your teeth.

As the supporting bone reduces, teeth can become loose and increasingly unstable.

In advanced stages, repairing teeth individually may no longer restore long-term stability.

At this point, extractions are often discussed, and dentures presented as the standard solution. Removing unstable teeth also removes the infection.

This creates the opportunity to assess the remaining bone properly and consider whether implants can provide a more secure foundation.

A secure alternative

to dentures

All-on-4 treatment is designed for patients whose remaining teeth are no longer stable.

A small number of implants are placed into the jawbone to support a fixed bridge that replaces most of the teeth in the upper or lower jaw.

Because the bridge is supported by implants placed into bone, not resting on the gums, it provides far greater stability than a removable denture.

In many cases, temporary teeth can be fitted on the same day following careful planning. The focus is stability and predictability.

Told you don’t

have enough bone?

We hear this often.

Gum disease reduces the bone that supports your teeth, and it can sometimes appear that implants are no longer possible.

However, reduced bone does not automatically mean treatment isn’t achievable.

Using detailed CT scanning and digital planning, we assess exactly what bone remains and how it can be used safely.

In most cases, a structured approach makes treatment possible, even when patients have previously been told otherwise.

Why Many Patients Choose All-on-4 Dental Implants

For patients with advanced gum disease or failing teeth, All-on-4 offers a way to move away from temporary fixes and

towards a more stable, long-term solution.

Rather than replacing teeth one by one, All-on-4 is designed to restore function, comfort and confidence

using a carefully planned, fixed approach.

  • A fixed, secure alternative to dentures

Unlike removable dentures, All-on-4 uses implants placed into the jaw to support a fixed bridge. This means your teeth stay securely in place, without movement or slipping.

  • Designed for reduced bone levels

Even if you’ve been told you don’t have enough bone for traditional implants, All-on-4 may still be possible. The implants are placed at specific angles to make use of the available bone.

  • Restore comfort when eating and speaking

With a stable, fixed bridge, many patients feel more confident eating a wider range of foods and speaking naturally again.

  • Fewer implants, carefully planned

All-on-4 uses a small number of implants to support a full arch of teeth, reducing the need for more extensive procedures in many cases.

  • Teeth can often be placed the same day

With the right planning, temporary fixed teeth can sometimes be fitted on the same day as implant placement, so you’re not left without teeth during treatment.

  • A long-term, structured solution

Rather than repeated short-term repairs, All-on-4 is designed as a more predictable, long-term approach to restoring your smile.

You don’t need to decide anything today, the first step is simply understanding whether this approach could work for you.

Hear From Patients Who Chose Dental Implants

Recently had an implant at Briars, and although it is a long process from beginning to end, the results are amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff, from reception, to the nurses and of course the dentist himself. The whole procedure was explained at every step of the way, and they understood, and helped with my fear of dentists, and needles, and pain. Thank you.

Having recently completed implant surgery with Nick French I can highly recommend this practice - the whole process was clearly explained exploring all options and although I had been worried about having it done - the pre care, surgery itself and post care have been excellent and I am thrilled with the result.

I and my family have been patients at the Briars for many years and cant speak too highly of the practice. Ive always been a nervous patient but now handle my fears much better. Nothing is ever too much trouble and both Jo my hygienist and Nick French my dentist are outstanding. You never feel that you are being rushed and an atmosphere of calm pervades the Briars, from the excellent reception to the treatment rooms. I think if it hadn't been for Nick and Jo my teeth would have been in a much worst state than they are now. Nick is also a highly skilled practitioner having provided me with several dental implants. I wouldn't hesitate for one moment to recommend The Briars .

My first experience of dental implants and I couldn't have been in better hands. Nick French steered me through all the procedures with a deft professionalism and I am delighted with the result.

I have always received the highest level of dental care from the whole Briars team. Every stage of your treatment is clearly and patiently explained, and I believe that this reassuring approach removes the anxiety that some people feel about oral care. Briars also use the very latest 3D scanning technology, in perfect harmony with their traditional dental craftsmanship.

Having just gone through the process of having five implants, I can thoroughly recommend Nick French and his assistant Kasia. They are friendly, professional and caring.

I had a lot of discomfort from two adjacent back teeth, the slightest touch of cold drink and it got really painful. The Briars team quickly diagnosed the problem and explained the x-ray images that showed a previous different practice’s root canal had caused decay of the tooth and the adjacent one along with the surrounding bone. I was left with a few choices that were clearly explained to me, but removal of the two teeth was the option I took with an implant replacement for one of them. I was referred to Nick French, who is their implant specialist. I had a process that encouraged the bone to regrow and then the implant. Nick’s demeanour is so calming and his explanations very clear, I had no distress or discomfort at all. I recognised the techniques he uses from the manufacturing industry, they are so advanced that the replacement tooth feels exactly like the one it replaced and now my mouth feels calm for the first time in quite a while. I totally recommend The Briars Dental Centre and Nick French.

If you are hesitant about having a dental implant you have nothing to fear at The Briars. As a pathetically nervous patient having suffered some poor and painful dentistry as a child I can honestly say that the team at the Briars put me completely at ease. From reception through to nursing staff and dentists everyone has a smile for you and you walk out feeling on top of the world. Alfie Chan is fantastically professional and skilful and made the procedure easy and painless. Along with restoring my teeth he has restored my faith in dentistry. Thank you.
